TCM Diagnosis

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), understanding your body constitution and imbalances is the key to effective treatment — not just managing symptoms, but restoring harmony from within.

What to Expect?

Duration: 30-45 minutes

TCM Diagnosis is a holistic assessment that helps us understand your body’s internal state by observing external signs. It’s a non-invasive but highly detailed process that includes:

STEP 01

问 (Inquiry)

This involves a detailed conversation about your current symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, sleep, digestion, emotions, menstrual cycle (for women), and more.

STEP 02

闻 (Listening & Smelling)

Here, the practitioner listens to your voice, breathing, and cough (if any), and may note any unusual body or breath odours.

STEP 03

望 (Observation)

Visual inspection, especially of the tongue, complexion, eyes, skin, posture, and general demeanor. The tongue is particularly important in TCM as it reflects the internal state of organs and fluids.

STEP 04

切 (Palpation)

This includes pulse diagnosis, where the practitioner feels the strength, rhythm, and quality of your pulse at three positions on each wrist. They may also palpate certain body areas for tenderness or swelling.
